KS: Born in Dharwad, Karnataka. Brought up in New Delhi, India.

OI: What advice would you give your younger self?
KS: One should just stay focused and motivated. Learn from your failures and never lose hope.
OI: What do you do to keep yourself presentable? One makeup thing you can’t step out without?
KS: In school, I was a chubby girl and when I went to college I started working on myself. I am a trained classical dancer so now that is something that keeps me fit and recently I joined the gym so that’s also an addition to my fitness routine. And one thing I cannot step out without is my lip balm and sunscreen. I believe in makeup without makeup.
OI: Do you actually feel any pressure to look presentable always?
KS: Not pressure actually but yes getting properly dressed looking good actually feels good to me so I just do it to keep my confidence boosted. So I like doing it for myself.
OI: What is your go-to outfit?
KS: Pair of jeans and a white t-shirt.
OI: When you go out, do people recognize you?
KS: Not actually, I still have to do so much to get recognized.
OI: What have you learned about yourself since you became a celebrity?
KS: Earlier I was not so much concerned about my looks like how am I looking, getting into this profession started socializing, I started paying attention to my looks and myself.
OI: If you weren’t famous, what would you be up to right now?
KS: I would be doing what I was doing, I would be a Graphic Designer.
OI: How would someone get your special attention?
KS: I guess by the way they talk attracts me the most.
OI: What do you like doing in spare time?
KS: Usually nothing, just watch TV and relax and spending time with my parents. Going out, a little bit of photography.

KS: As an influencer, I would like to be remembered is my style.

KS: Why people gain weight….hahaha

KS: I actually spend more on gadgets.

KS: My parents make me smile always and darkness in a room scares me the most.

KS: My strength is my learning attitude and weakness is maths I mean calculations. I am quite weak at Maths.

OI: For the people who don’t know about you, can you tell us a little about yourself and your blog?
KS: I am a fashion blogger and an influencer who likes to get a change in society from my thinking.
OI: Is being a YouTuber and Instagram influencer is your profession?
KS: Yes.
OI: Every website has a story behind it. What was yours? What was the motivation behind starting this blog?
KS: I don’t have a website right now, but I have my Instagram handle and YouTube Channel and I promote Indian style on curvy bodies. I went through body shaming so I just want to highlight the fact that how Indian clothes suit the perfect curvy bodies. Like curvy girls can also be models.
OI: Who has been your inspiration? What inspired you to shoot the videos?
KS: Sejal Kumar was my school junior so that motivates me a lot and then one day I also met Kritika Khurana and she also guided me in a lot many ways how to do it, so these two are my inspirations.
OI: Looking back what was the one moment that led you to start your YouTube channel/blog?
KS: Its Sejal Kumar actually I know her personally so just thought that if she can do it, why not me.
OI: Which were the biggest challenges that you had to overcome when you started off?
KS: The first thing was brand collaboration and second was to build a team, and third was to get a good location to shoot as many locations that I like and wanted to shoot at won’t allow us to shoot.
OI: Fashion and lifestyle are a rather cluttered segment. What is the one thing that gives you an edge over your competitors?
KS: That’s my style, the way I carry Indian outfits pretty well.
OI: How you categorize your channel? What is your primary category: Fashion, Travel?
KS: Fashion.
OI: How did you get 8K + number of subscribers on Instagram?
KS: I just post regularly and post good content. That’s actually the key to grow your Instagram account.
OI: Are you concern about followers/views?
KS: Yeah! obviously I am concern about losing my followers.
OI: How, when and where you shot your first video? How was it felt?
KS: It was at Qutub Minar I think two years ago.
OI: How many views on the first video/ month of the blog post?
KS: I think 699 views, It was about the introduction of my channel.
OI: How you edit your videos and photos?
KS: For photos I use lightroom and for videos, I use premium pro these days and planning to shift to Final Cut Pro.
OI: How do your day and week look like?
KS: I wake up around 7-7.30 am in the morning and have lukewarm honey water and have a bath and plan my day. I don’t use my phone in the morning, then I head to my shoots (if planned) and then to the gym then dinner and then I sleep around 10.00 pm. And If iI have work to do I sleep late but last is 01.00 am
OI: Brands first, or audiences first?
KS: Of Course that’s the audience.
OI: What projects are you currently working on?
KS: Currently I’m working with Limeroad and also working for my makeup videos.
OI: If there was one thing that you feel makes your blog/channel stands out, what would that be?
KS: My content and my regularity.
OI: Where do you see yourself in 5 years? What are your plans for the same?
KS: I want to take my youtube channel ahead.

OI: How and when did you start taking your blog/ youtube channel seriously?
KS: When I met Kritika Khurana and she told me about the influencer industry in detail at that time I started taking my Instagram account seriously.
OI: How do you maintain posting regularly on your social media accounts?
KS: I have a calendar where every brand that I am collaborated with gets space and calendar actually keeps me in check so that I don’t miss out any collaboration on the feed. Also, I follow a specific time of posting so it’s from 11.00 am to 12.00 in the morning and in the evening from 07.00 pm to 08.00 pm.
OI: How you approach brands?
KS: I send them emails with what I will be doing for them what benefits they can get from the collaboration. I believe in promoting brands through concepts.
OI: How long you took to get brands to contact you?
KS: Almost a year you can say. In between I started and then left also so then I thought to have a team as my earlier photographer was quite immature then around December 2018 I got my first brand collaboration and I did it with a proper team and at that time I started doing it all professionally. I also worked for Duty-free bar ( airports)
OI: What was the first brand who contacted you? Does that deal turn out? Was that a paid deal/barter deal?
KS: It was “Monkey BeSpoke” and it took around 6 months to get this deal and it was actually a barter collaboration.
OI: How long you took to get the first paid brand deal?
KS: 06 Months.
OI: Lowest money paid by any brand (amount)?
KS: I guess RS 500/- for one look.
OI: Highest money paid by any brand (amount)?
KS: RS 12000/-

OI: Do you read and reply to all your comments?
KS: Yeah I read all comments and try to reply to them too but I surely read them.
OI: A blogger or an influencer – what do you call yourself?
KS: Influencer.
OI: Weirdest brand brief/request ever?
KS: I haven’t come across any weirdest brand brief. hahaha…I am lucky enough.
OI: From ideation to execution please take us through the process of creating one video/ blog/photo post? How do you stay relevant and relatable?
KS: Basically what I do is if I get a brand collaboration I research the brand and its products and create concepts, then search for the locations and then execute the same.
OI: How do you monetize your blog? Do you work with brands often?
KS: That’s only brand collaborations right now.
OI: How do you negotiate your work?
KS: Since I have just started so right now I am not negotiating too much I just want maximum brands on my list.
OI: What are the alternate monetization methods you would suggest to upcoming bloggers?
KS: Instagram and brand collaborations are best suitable for monetization.
OI: How do you plan to take it to the next level?
KS: I want to turn it into a full-time profession. I want to create good content and want to develop a full-time team, right now I have all freelancers with me.
OI: What will be your tips to Youtubers/bloggers/influencers who are striving to startup?
KS: Be regular and create good content. And most importantly, just be patient. Nothing will happen overnight.
OI: Any plans for acting in movies?
KS: No not at all.

OI: Any plans for any venture regarding entrepreneurship? Which line you wanna start?
KS: Yeah once I get established I would like to start my own clothing line dealing in Indo -western outfits.

KS: That’s quite an interesting question, hmmm …well I would like to do the same thing like entrepreneur and fashion blogging.
